Josh Krug Racing – Omaha, Neb. (04/26/19) Josh Krug opened the 2019 NASCAR Whelen All American Weekly racing campaign with a sixth place finish in Friday night’s Super Late Model A-Feature at I-80 Speedway.
The night began with Krug moving up three spots in heat race No. 2 to finish fifth.
The team would discover after his heat race that the left rear tire was down to the rim due to a gash in the tire.
The three spots Krug advanced in his heat race earned him enough passing points to put him on the poll for Friday night’s feature.
Krug wasn’t able to get the start he had hoped and began to fall back to third. By lap 5 Krug had settled into the sixth place spot where he would finish.
During the final 6 laps of Friday’s A-Feature, Krug was able to post the fastest laps on the speedway.
Krug and the Dr, Vinyl, MyRacePass No. 4k will return to action on Friday, May 3rd at Crawford County Speedway with the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series.
